The Westphalian Peace model, which enshrined the priority of national interests, emerged almost four hundred years ago, but still remains a working concept in international relations. Nevertheless, it can no longer remain a tool for solving the problems humanity faces; it is gradually being replaced by a system of values. This is the subject of a book written by the Ambassador of the European Union to Armenia Piotr Switalski, based on the lectures he delivered at the seminars of the School of Civic Education.
