Culture is serious. In the early 90s of the last century, scientists of various specialities — economists, historians, political scientists, sociologists and many others — came to this conclusion. The emergence of this tendency was marked by the revival of the interest in culture, which had faded away among representatives of social sciences. But if culture is so important and people have been studying it for a century or more, why do we still lack full-fledged theoretical concepts, practical recommendations and close professional contacts between cultural scientists and politicians? The specific purpose of this volume is to refine theories, refine practices, and strengthen the relationship between scholars and practitioners in order to provide cultural preconditions for societal progress.
