The book ‘Reflections on Russia and Russians. ‘Second philosophy‘ of the Russian man’, prepared by Sergey Ivanov, assembles more than seven hundred testimonies and reflections of Russian and foreign contemporaries about Russia in the first quarter of XIX — first quarter of XX century. The main question of interest to the author is to identify the differences between the ‘first’, official and ceremonial, philosophy of the Russian man, and his ‘second’, everyday and domestic philosophy. The work is the final part of the trilogy, which the author worked on for more than ten years. With the publication of this highly interesting volume, the ‘Culture. Politics. Philosophy’ series published by the School has acquired a new, more lively and modern design.
