His research focus is on Eastern Europe, especially Ukraine and Russia, and the Eastern Partnership. He also deals with questions of security, disinformation and strategic communication as well as democratization and civil society support in the CEE and post-Soviet space. Since 1 May 2023, Pavel Havlicek has been externally cooperating and advising the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic on implementation of the digital agenda and digital regulation of social media platforms.
