Anatoly Akhutin’s book «War and Intellect» is a philosophical diary of the first months of Russia’s open military invasion of Ukraine, the purpose of which is to turn a state of war into a norm of everyday life. This is a war of chaos with space, threatening to destroy the world.

The author refuses to be «outside of politics» when Ukraine defends itself in an existential war with the invasion of political nihilism. Based on Bakhtin’s concept of participatory thinking, he asserts: the intellect is responsible for man as the culprit and accomplice of historical events.
