In the fall of 2024, two researchers from the Public Sociology Laboratory traveled to the Kursk region. They spent two months there, conducting participant observation and informal and formal interviews. After some time, a new analytical report, «Nothing Portended: An Ethnography of a ‘Sudden’ War in a Border Region,» was published.
